Frontdoor Developments Launching St Clair Village on Caledonia Road

In Toronto's Earlscourt neighbourhood part way between St Clair Avenue and Rogers Road, a new residential development will add an injection of modern living into the community, bringing new housing opportunities to the area. Deemed surplus by the Toronto District School Board, Hughes Public School was sold in 2014, and was demolished in early 2016. Now under new ownership, theSt Clair Villageproject byFrontdoor Developments Inc will bring 41 homes to Caledonia Road at Innes Avenue.

Designed byHunt Design Associates Inc, the new community is planned in three blocks of contemporary homes (to becommon element condominiumtenure) lining the site's three road frontages. The homes will boast variations on a white brick and glass design, with wood-grain accents providing warmth. The designs are meant to form a cohesive identity for the subdivision while giving each home a sense of individuality.

Corresponding with the variation in exteriors, the five home layouts—Caledonia, Caboto, Como, Gondola, and St Clair—are named in reference to area streets and the Italian-Canadian cultural background of the neighbourhood. The site plan below shows how the blocks fit together, how the layouts are distributed, and where a parkette will be located in the site's northwest corner at Caledonia and Innes.

Units at St Clair Village range in area from 3,005 to 3,040 ft², and are priced starting from $1,500,000. The project's on-site sales centre at 19 Innes Avenue can be viewed by appointment. Construction of the project is expected to wrap up in time for the first move-ins in September, 2021.
